What to expect at your visit
A routine visit includes a professional cleaning by our dedicated dental hygienist, digital low-radiation X-rays when needed, an oral cancer screening, and a comprehensive exam by one of our three general dentists. We check your teeth, gums, bite, and existing dental work, then walk you through everything — in plain language, with photos from our intraoral camera so you can see it too.
Why cleanings every six months matter
Even with great brushing and flossing, tartar builds up where a toothbrush can't reach. Left alone, it leads to gum inflammation, cavities, and eventually gum disease — the leading cause of adult tooth loss. Regular cleanings remove that buildup and let us catch small problems while they're still small, inexpensive fixes.
Care for all ages
Since 2018 we've provided preventive care to patients of every age in one convenient location — from a child's first checkup to senior care, including gum disease treatment and personalized maintenance plans.
Frequently asked questions
Most patients do best with a cleaning and exam every six months. If you have gum disease or build tartar quickly, we may recommend visits every three to four months.
A routine cleaning shouldn't hurt. If you have sensitive teeth or dental anxiety, tell us — we'll go slower, use numbing gel, and check in with you throughout.
Yes. We use digital X-rays, which emit a small fraction of the radiation of traditional film, and we only take them when they're diagnostically useful.
